The Perfect Blend

A step into ‘Kusum’, a residential project in Nagpur, can teleport you to a world full of natural beauty aesthetically complemented with modern amenities to make life easier and serene at the same time. Designer Hitesh Shahnand and Malay Shah of HS Desiigns created an abode with surrealism as its highlight. The use of Italian flooring, stone cladding and wooden flooring adds warmth to the home. Detailing has been of impeccable taste, for example, the staircase railings are designed as spiraling branches from the trunk. The spaciousness of the lobby is enhanced by the cutouts that adds to the height of the villa and gives a good view from the lobby.

To avoid monotony, the décor of the bedrooms exude a distinct appeal. The bedrooms for the grandparents is designed with glimpses of rich heritage, while the master bedroom is done up in soothing pastel and English colours. The children’s room, on the other hand, is done up in bold and vibrant hues.

To create exclusivity, granite was beautifully crafted for landscaping on the second floor and also for the sky lounge on the first floor. The use of natural hues like white, grey and earthen shades brought it closer to nature. Yet another important element was the use of lights. Direct and indirect light, natural light played a key role in enhancing the beauty of the house and complementing the design.

Royal Retreat

So what if the days of Kings and Queens are no longer here, the royal living can always be preserved. For another residential project, Hitesh Shahnand and Anita Nagda of HS Desiigns, recreated the regal heritage theme for one their clients. The inspiration for the design is Indian art, culture and heritage, which is grand in itself. This theme enables a lot of room for design application in furniture and accessories and also allows the use of varied rich material like wood and metal to get the desired ambience and feel.

Natural Italian flooring complemented the rich Indian décor. Exotic marbles were incorporated in walls to add to the richness of the place and the ceiling with natural wood textures and carved wooden veneer enhances grandeur of the house. To add to the warmth of the décor, extensive use of carefully selected wallpapers has proved useful. The wallpapers have also helped in landscaping.
